VINORUM: Where unique wine meets the heart of L’Aquila

The first edition of Vinorum will take place from May 16th to 18th in L’Aquila.

The public will have the opportunity to discover the great artistic, oenological, and gastronomic heritage of Abruzzo in an iconic city, through a rich program of events and tastings.

From May 16th to 18th, the heart of L’Aquila will transform into a true culinary and wine capital with the first edition of VINORUM – Abruzzo Wine Festival. An event aimed at showcasing the authentic soul of the region to the general public through glasses of wine and many related activities.

In a unique setting, between Piazza Duomo and the cloisters of the historic center, enthusiasts and curious visitors will be able to experience an immersive journey through the flavors and aromas of Abruzzo’s finest gastronomic products. The initiative, supported by the Consortium for the Protection of Abruzzo Wines and under the patronage of the Region and the Municipality of L’Aquila, will offer tastings, round tables, wine & food pairing masterclasses, meetings with producers, historical-cultural deep dives, street food, and much more. Every day from 5 PM to midnight, the stands will be open to the public for tasting and purchasing the best local excellences. During the day, visitors can also participate in various events organized in the cloisters of the historic center.

“VINORUM is an extraordinary showcase for our producers and for the Abruzzo wine heritage. It’s an opportunity to show how much this territory can express in terms of quality, identity, and vision. An event in a city that symbolizes Abruzzo’s resilience and that is preparing to become – in 2026 – the Italian Capital of Culture,” says Alessandro Nicodemi, president of the Consortium.

So, not just tastings: VINORUM aims to tell the profound connection between wine, territory, and culture, with events that will lead visitors to discover villages, historical monuments, and artistic locations, open for the occasion.
