South Africa Wine NPC is committed to fostering the next generation of professionals in the South African wine industry. Our South African Wine Industry Bursary programme aims to provide comprehensive support to aspiring individuals passionate about viticulture, oenology, the wine business, sustainable practices, and future skills.
Objectives of the programme
- Financial Support: Cover tuition fees;
- Industry Exposure: Provide hands-on experience and insights from leading experts;
- Career Development: Graduate placements and networking opportunities based on training needs on the South Africa Wine Learner Management System;
- Sustainable Practices: Educate on innovative and sustainable practices in the wine industry;
- Professional Body: Encourage professionals to become members of the professional body.
Eligibility criteria
- South African citizens or permanent residents;
- Enrolled or planning to enrol at a recognised institution for studies related to viticulture, oenology, or wine business or any supporting degree that will help further develop the wine industry (based on the industry needs);
- Demonstrated passion and commitment to the wine industry.
Application process for South African Wine Industry Bursary
- Prepare your application and include the following:
- Motivation letter
- Academic transcripts (matric to date)
- An estimated quote of 2026 tuition fees (including onsite accommodation, tuition and study materials)
